Xamarin Updater in Visual Studio 2017

Introduction:

If you want to stay up to date with all xamarin updates than you don’t need to visit xamarin site and other channels regularly there is another solution for you.

You only need to install xamarin updater and this will automatically update you with all the xamarin updates. This can gather all the updates and you can install them whenever you want.

Important Note:

Visual studio 2017 is present in stable and preview form. This updater will work on visual studio preview 2017 15.3 or higher. You can install extensions and updates for visual studio 2017 preview from this updater.

How to install updater:

• Open Visual Studio 2017 preview
• Go to Tools -> Extensions and Updates.

 

• Go to online
• Search for Xamarin Updater
• Install Xamarin Updater which is created by Xamarin

• Go to Updates
• Than open Xamarin Preview
• Here you will see all the available updates

From here you can see available updates. You can download them and install them. Currently there is only one update shown in the image. But in your case updates were different depending on your environment.

Note:

After downloading updates from here you can close the visual studio. After closing the visual studio downloaded updates start to install. And you can restart the visual studio to see them working.
